Clay Court Season Arrives
I was fortunate enough to witness the official unveiling of the Centre Court roof at Wimbledon today along with my sister, Holly. With a capacity crowd, the atmosphere was amazing. The roof is highly impressive and the lighting has such an effect, that it is barely noticeable when play is taking place under a closed roof. It would be such a fantastic honour if I ever have the opportunity to play on this newly designed Centre Court.
Not an expert with the iron
The week didn't start well. Ironing some AEGON patches onto a few tops might sound like a straightforward task, but for someone like me with considerably poor domestic skills, it's not so easy. Having ironed on at least half a dozen patches beautifully (if I may say so), I was pressing another patch onto a top.
Debut blogger travels to Belgium
Hello everyone, this is Katie O’Brien writing to you as a novice blogger. I’m a little apprehensive but I’m pleased to have the opportunity of giving you an insight into my life as a professional tennis player.
This week I’m competing in the $100,000+H ITF event in Torhout, Belgium along with fellow Brit, Anne Keothavong. It’s going to be a tough tournament, but I’m looking forward to the challenge as I’ve been playing some good tennis this year.
